A Girl's Weekend in Paris

November 1, 2019

Every girl needs her girls!  And a weekend in Paris is the perfect place for some good ol'  girl time.

Paris is always a good idea! (Hotels and Areas)

1st Arrondissement often called "Louvre" is the center of the city. This upscale area, located on the right of Seine, is one of the oldest parts of the city and has been home to Paris' upper class. This area that includes the famous Palais Louvre and the well-known shopping street Rue de Rivoli is centrally located and a good option to get around to different parts of the city.

Ideally situated in the 3rd and 4th arrondissements, "Le Marais" is located close to boutique shops and gourmet patisseries. To its left, is the Louvre and the Tuileries, to its right are the bustling bars of Bastille and across it the Notre Dame. The beautiful Musée Picasso has also recently opened nearby. The nightlife is happening and the atmosphere is hip.

6th arrondissement known as "Luxembourg" is situated on the left of Seine. The famous Saint-Germain square is located here. The area is full of trendy cafes, artsy streets, magnificent buildings, galleries and chic shops. The trendy neighborhood also has many upmarket nightclubs and restaurants and the Jardin Luxembourg. This area has that classic Parisian neighborhood feel!

7th Arrondissement, home of the famous "Eiffel Tower", is a lovely upscale residential area. This area boasts of many elegant and elite hotels because it is often picked by first timers and those wishing to visit the main tourist attractions that are nearby.

8th Arrondissement houses the world's most famous street, the "Champs-Élysées". This is a high-end neighborhood with luxury accommodation and high-end boutiques. This area is for anyone interested in opulent shopping, fine dining, and extravagant living. The street runs from  the Place de la Concorde to the Arc de Triomphe and the area is also known for the Opera.

Though Paris is big, it's an extremely walkable city and knowing what each area offers makes choosing where to stay in Paris quite easy!
